Anxiety and Depression Treatment Industry Was Led by Hospital Pharmacies

The anxiety and depression treatment market will progress at a rate of 3.3% in the years to come, to reach USD 24,467.7 million by 2030.

The main factors accountable for the growth of the industry contain increasing elderly population, increasing consciousness about mental ailments and their treatment, and the growing count of product approvals.

The drugs category had larger share in the industry in the past, and it will retain its position in the years to come. This is majorly because of the growing count of product launches, initiatives of the private and public health institutions to spread consciousness pertaining to mental ailments, and research projects for mental ailments.

The major depressive disorder category will grow the fastest in the years to come. This can be mostly credited to the increase in count of major depressive ailment cases, together with evolution in public consciousness on this issue, and increase in frequency of screening by people for better mental health.

North America had the largest share in the past, and it will continue like this by the end of this decade.

This is majorly credited to the increase in the case count of pain, as well as the greater incidence of anxiety and key depressive disorders, growth in consciousness concerning high disposable income, mental health, and surge in count of prescriptions for antidepressants.

The consciousness about mental health has increased globally, as a result of the increased initiatives by public and private healthcare institutions. The WHO declared 10th October as the World Mental Health Day, for increasing awareness, reduce the stigma, deliver access to services, provide different treatment prospects, and support for mental health and the problems associated with it.

The increasing aging population all over the world has a lot to do with the growing anxiety and depression treatments among people.
